The BF377 is designed to provide continuous d.c. power for a 24V door release magnet system controllable from a fire alarm control panel. For automatic release, the power supply requires a signal voltage of 18-30V d.c. 30mA. Manual release can also be achieved via a set of contacts using, for example an external timer, in order to shut the doors automatically at a predetermined time. The BF377 does not have a battery back-up facility.
